Senior Research Officer
Institute for Social and Economic Research, University of Essex

I am an applied microeconomist specialising in the economics of education. My research examines how school reforms—particularly academies in England—affect pupil outcomes, including achievement, subject choice, and inequality.

My work focuses on outcomes beyond exam performance, studying how school environments shape decision-making skills, non-cognitive development, and wellbeing. I also work on related topics in child development and policy evaluation.
